Made to Last is a fashion installation created for the exhibition Vanitas at Museum LA8 / Baden-Baden / DE. Drawing on the exhibition theme and references to Adam and Eve, the outfit itself is made entirely from apples and wool (fully biodegradable). 

The Apple Outfit, reminiscent of skin or leather, is presented on a translucent, second-hand sourced mannequin which is modified to illuminate the layers from within. With light emanating through the layers of apple leather, the beauty of this fragile material and its details is accentuated. The imperfections serve as a reminder of the hand-sewing process and the time spent on something that starts falling apart as soon as it’s finished.
